1. We
disclose any known training, habits and conformation flaws up front.
Our horses are gentle and have been handled daily. We do not sell
horses that have not been halter broke. We do not start any horse
under saddle until it is at least 2 years of age, and then only light
riding. Please expect us to ask you a few questions about your
experiences with horses and what type of horse you are looking to find.
2. We require 1/3 down to reserve foals that have not been weaned. Older
horses must be paid in full to be considered sold. Once deposit is received,
the horse is considered reserved. If applicable, a 100% refund is given if the
horse fails the pre-purchase exam or the horse is injured/dies before the end of
the two week grace period after the ready date. A refund is not given if the
buyer backs out of the sale. Horses must be picked up a maximum of 2 weeks
after their ready date in order to avoid additional daily chargesof $10/day. After the
ready date, the buyer assumes full responsibility for the horse,
including injury and/or death. No horse may leave our possession without
being paid for in full at least 3 weeks prior to ship date, including any
additional charges incurred. If the buyer fails to take possession of the horse
30 days after ready date, all monies received by Enloe Quarter Horses are forfeited and the contract for purchase
deemed void.
3. Weanlings are sold halter broke, with 1st series of shots, wormed, feet
trimmed if necessary. Foals are generally weaned at 4 months of age and ready
to be sent to their new home 15 days after.
4. Enloe Quarter Horses arranges for a Coggins test, and if
necessary, a Health Certificate obtained for out of state buyers.
If the sale price of the horse equals or exceeds $2000, Enloe Quarter
Horses will pay for the test and health certificate. Any vet costs
for horses selling below $2000 will be the responsibility of the new
owner.
All
pre-purchase exam type expenses are welcomed at the buyer's expense.
Because our herd is closed for breeding, bred mares are sold "exposed"
to stallions, without a live foal guarantee.
5.
Each horse is sold with registration papers, transfer papers, a
halter, grain (if applicable), and a bill of sale unless otherwise
stated.
6. Transfers are sent by Enloe Quarter Horses to the American Quarter
Horse Association (AQHA). Buyers are responsible for being members of the
AQHA and for the member transfer payment.
7. We do not trade any of our horses for other horses and we are not
looking to buy additional horses. Due to the nature of horses, we can not
guarantee the horse for an extended amount of time after the sale or offer a
trial period.
8. We
reserve the right to refund a reservation fee if we feel it is in the best
interest of the horse.
9.
Enloe Quarter Horse policies are subject to change without warning. Please
contact us for up to date details regarding the sales policy.
