Daily Wormer
All our horses under 1 year of age receive Strongid C daily wormer. It has been a great product for us that is easy to use and is carried at most feed stores. Follow label for feeding instructions. There are also less known daily wormers that may be as good, but we have not personally tried them. Because of costs, it is not practical or necessary to daily worm mature horses in good general health.
Rotational Wormer
There are several types of wormers that come in several different forms including paste, liquid, pellet and stomach tube form. The following is from the manufacturer's label. Consult your vet regarding a worming dosage and schedule, especially for horses new to a worming program. Product rotation is also important to ensure full coverage.
