Deuce is quite the character.    Always curious and has to keep on top of everything that goes on around the farm.  He's a 25% Pretty Buck stallion and 100% foundation in any of the major registries.  Both his sire and dam are dun factored horses so he may be homozygous for the dun gene.  His sire is Fortys Last Chance who is an AQHA point earning sire and direct son of AQHA Champion Mr Blackburn 40 by Pretty Buck.  His dam is Blackburn Dell who is a direct daughter of Mr Blackburn 41 by Pretty Buck.   She's a 1983 model and Deuce was her first foal.

Besides the looks, Deuce came with solid conformation, straight legs, good feet, an excellent shoulder slant and good top line.  It has been fun watching him move and show his athletic ability.  He plants his back end very well and is natural at sliding and pivots.  Deuce is also very trainable.  He has been easy to electric clip and has outstanding manners.   Deuce is also very smart - his favorite pastime is opening spring-latched gates and doors.  His now have locks...

Deuce was started in August 2003 but was forced to take a break from riding after a stifle tear/stretch.  He is doing fine now and when he was riding he was very athletic and easy to handle.  He is as quick and agile under saddle as he is playing out in the pasture.
